Why Privacy Matters?

 Imagine yourself back in the era of 00's, all away from the digital clouds. The only data threat you potentially had was your diary being discovered by someone and giving all your details.  The new emerging concepts of e-mail, Facebook, skype was becoming a treat. The joy of sharing your first post, sharing your opinion, sharing in a corner of world, catching up with your friends and family anytime and everywhere were such a moment of delight to discover. While the debate around data protection and securing one’s privacy has always been relevant all around these years. The answer to how secure your data is and it's been utilized by stranger is still a question of fact? The question is how really big is the industry of data theft and what sorts of malpractices are associated with the usage of our data. While giving a thought as to what could be the potential use of your calendar task as a data and your memories from your last years' birthday to someone. What type of data leaking might be risky and how concerned one must be.

In the age of data exploitation, privacy has become even more important. We're under a lot of threat now because of the way data and technology are used – the ways in which we can be tracked and identified have exploded, as has the types and scale of information we have about us. We couldn't even imagine 20 years ago, outside of science fiction. Why Privacy matters is indeed a bigger question before delving with intricacies of data, its usage and how it processes and what can be done to safeguard it.


The bigger point to emphasize is Privacy helps us define who we are as a human being and gives us the space to create our own identity. We need to protect our privacy by protecting our valuable data. Let's strive together in spreading awareness about data protection and learn together the how and why of it.
